The International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) is a leading dance teaching and examination board based in Brighton, England. Operating internationally, the IDTA is one of the largest dance teaching organisations in the world and currently has over 7,000 members in 55 countries. The IDTA is a validated dance awarding body of the Council for Dance Education and Training, and is also affiliated to the British Dance Council, the Central Council of Physical Recreation and the Theatre Dance Council International. The IDTA also works in partnership with the Royal Academy of Dance.
The IDTA Rosette Program is for Ages 3-7. Following the IDTA Rosette Syllabus, students will learn the basic steps to the Fox Trot, Jive, Salsa, Merengue and Cha Cha. These steps will be showcased during the year in front of an IDTA Examiner. Students will be able to showcase their hard work and all that they have accomplished. Each student will be awarded with a Rosette plaque award for each dance.
